About … SWDC began with Serena Williams recognizing a lack of diversity in the design space and deciding to do something about it. Started in 2020, the SWDC program selects a number of BIPOC designers across the country and invites them to Nike’s World Headquarters. Each design “apprentice” learns from the best in the industry and come together to create a publicly released collection for the G.O.A.T. herself.
Due to Nike’s wonderful rule of “keeping it tight”, photos are all I can show. However, if you send little old me a little old email requesting for the magic key, all locks fall away and the doors swing open, just for you.
